NURS 5120 Advanced Nursing Practice

This course uses evidence based pharmacology combined with advanced health assessment techniques and knowledge of pathophysiology to promote excellent patient care. The course is organized using the top mortality and morbidity categories for the United States of America. Ethical and cultural considerations across the life span are considered related to dosage and side effects of pharmacological treatment as well as health assessment approaches. The course may be offered as a hybrid course.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of BSN and unencumbered license as a registered nurse, or permission of Nursing Program Director.
Pre or corequisite(s): NURS 5010 Professional Communication in Nursing.
