POLSC 3730 Authoritarian Regimes

This course explores the evolving landscape of authoritarian regimes in contemporary politics. We will examine diverse forms of authoritarian rule, strategies for maintaining power, and factors contributing to resilience and decline. Using a comparative approach, we will analyze nstitutions, ideology, technology, and economic influences on authoritarian governance, as well as challenges from civil society and international actors.
