MUSIC 2000 International Music Touring

This course is a companion to international tours taken by the NWU band and/or choir program. It is designed to prepare students to maximize their musical and cultural experiences while performing abroad. Students will learn about the composers and music that they will perform beyond what is covered in ensemble rehearsals (compositional construction, historical context of the composer and the works), and about the regions that will be visited while on tour. Students in this course are expected to have good standing as a participating student in the NWU Band and/or Choir Program, be enrolled in the relevant/related NWU ensemble, and must be available for tour related rehearsal and travel dates. No Pass/Fail.
