NURS 4000 Medical-Surgical IV

This course is designed to provide nursing students with the skills and knowledge to care competently and safely for the critically ill patient. The course focuses on the application of quality nursing care according to priorities. Fundamental information about the nursing process of patients in the critical care setting is used as an approach of providing holistic patient care. The course includes two hours theory and two hours clinical experiences.
Prerequisite(s): NURS 2600 Medical-Surgical III, NURS 2110 Pharmacology II, and NURS 3340 Health Care Ethics with grades of "C" or better.
