Designed for students who have returned from studying for one year in Japan. This course aims to further develop overall language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing in intermediate-high to advanced level proficiency in Japanese along with developing intercultural competency. MSPAN 4280 Cultures of the Spanish-Speaking World I is a dual-level course designed for students at the intermediate/advanced levels that introduces Hispanic cultures through authentic Spanish-language materials. Content may be organized by region, time period, or themes, such as diversity of people and geography, history, politics, education, religion, the arts, and daily life. By exploring culture through various forms, students will engage with diverse perspectives and deepen their understanding of the Spanish-speaking world. Instruction is in Spanish.
