MFREN 3280 French & Francophone Cultures I

MFREN 3280/4280 French and Francophone Cultures I is a dual-level course designed for students at the intermediate/advanced levels that introduces cultures of the French-Speaking world through authentic French-language materials. Content may be organized by region, time period, or themes such a diversity of people and geography, history, politics, education, religion, the arts, and daily life. By exploring cultural diversity through various forms, students will engage with diverse perspectives and deepen their understanding of the French-speaking world. Instruction is in French. MFREN 3280 meets with MFREN 4280 with differentiated assignment lengths and expectations by level. This course may be repeated. Prerequisite: 6 credits of MFREN 2000-level or approproate modern language placement.
