POLSC 2500 Constitutional Law

This course introduces students to the U.S. Constitution and the legal decisions that have shaped our understanding of the document and its effect on society. Students will examine the history and evolution of the U.S. Constitution, theories of constitutional interpretation, key cases that have shaped our understanding of the document, and the major controversies the Supreme Court has addressed. The course aims to develop students' ability to read case law, analyze constitutional issues, and gain an informed perspective on the nature and limitations of constitutional decision-making.
