Major:

Economics (B.A., B.S.)

Academically equivalent, both bachelor’s of art and bachelor’s of science will full prepare you for a career in economics. Economics is traditionally viewed as a liberal arts major and therefore students often choose the B.A. degree.

A department-approved supporting program with a minimum of 12 hours outside the economics major is required.

Select two additional courses from 3000-level or 4000-level economics courses or one 3000-level or 4000-level economics course and
BUSAD 3700 Financial Management (if not used above).

MATH 1500 Calculus for Management, Biological, and Social Sciences or MATH 1600 Calculus I is strongly recommended for students considering graduate school.
